Dr. Jones was born in Framingham, and raised in Massachusetts and Alabama. He received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University in Chemical Engineering, his Ph.D. from Rice University, also in Chemical Engineering, and his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital in 1997, and completed his Dermatology residency training at the Massachusetts General Hospital-Harvard Medical School Program in 2000. Dr. Jones then spent nine years in academics at Brigham & Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, where he saw patients in the Dermatology clinic, worked in the laboratory conducting skin disease research, co-directed the Translational Research Resource Center, directed the Pigmented Lesion/Melanoma Clinic, and taught Harvard medical students and residents. He moved to Newton-Wellesley in 2009, and became Chief of Dermatology in 2014.
Dr. Jones is board certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermaology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
